fbi. we were okay with it. we got busted by it. it was only that because of the washington post reporting on it that we had to let flynn go. we got to shut this investigation right down right now. i need jim comey out there and there was the potential obstruction of justice. what jeremy lays out is known because donald trump told us so. he told lester holt, i was going to fire jim comey because i didn t like the way he was conducting the russia investigation. a lot of these things are hiding in plain sight. in this whole investigation and with this white house in general, what we keep finding is they keep admitting to things that would be bombshells if they were ferreted out by a prosecutor or a reporter. and, of course, number one is the president saying, no, no, that statement was wrong. i actually fired him because of russia. if you pull back from the timeline, what you see is two things in parallel. one, a repeated pattern of contacts with russian businessmen and official
obamacare. perhaps just a coincidence, jeremy bash. how much should this development bother the white house? i think it should bother the president s legal team a lot. here we have mike flynn, key campaign official, on the cusp of either being indicted or possibly pleading guilty, which would put him in a position of cooperating with bob mueller, describing to bob mueller the entire nature of flynn s dealings with the russians and don t forget, if the president when the president fired jim comey and engaged in that effort to stop that investigation, he was doing that ever he told comey please go easy on mike flynn. leave aside the investigation of mike flynn. so flynn is very much connected not just to the question of collusion, not just to the question of whether there were business connections between trump associates and the russians but also to the question of firing of jim comey. he brings up an interesting point. all of this goes back to the

the russians manipulated comey in getting involved into the election. it was russian information that comey used to jump into the middle of the 2016 election, not a meeting between lynch and president clinton on the tarmac. bill: is he right? is this where this story is i don t know what senator graham knows and where he says it was russian information. in my view what caused jim comey quite improperly to jump into the 2016 campaign was his decision on july 5th, 2016, not to indict mrs. clinton and then to list all the evidence against her. bill: i thought he was referring to the russia dossier. that was not acted upon until after the election when comey showed the president elect. bill: the paradise papers, what do they tell us and what s important? they tell us there is no
for. they basically just thought they were anti-trump. do you agree with that? i do. look, maybe it s like a 12-step process. one of the key steps of sort of, you know, improving yourself is taking responsibility for what you didn t do right. in a situation like this, the temptation is out there to blame comey, russia. maybe those things had something to do with it. who knows. what you ve really got to do is say what can i do better. the key of what you saw release this had morning and what will be discussed in virginia later on today is really a laser-like focus on the economic well-being, the jobs, the job security, the possibility for opportunity in middle class families all over this country. and i think we need to both make it clear that that s what we stand for, and, of course, really come up and explain the agenda to the american people. so, in part, in so doing, you have a new slogan. a better deal.
