The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors agreed Tuesday to settle a $2.6 million lawsuit with a fire department captain injured in the Station 81 shooting two years ago.
Fire Specialist Tory Carlon, a victim of the Station 81 Shooting in June 2021, was honored alongside other fallen heroes by the Los Angeles County Fire Department (LACoFD) on Wednesday.
In an improvement from his critical, yet stable, status last week, the Los Angeles County Fire Department captain hospitalized at Henry Mayo Newhall Hospital is in “fair” condition, according to officials.
The death of Fire Specialist Tory Carlon at the hands of a lone gunman at Fire Station 81 on Tuesday permanently robbed his children of seeing their father at future monumental moments in their lives.
