With 17 total helicopters and over 1,600 personnel working on the fire, crews are staying positive and feeling content with their progress. Dixie Fire Public Information Officer, Antonio Negrete, says they are specifically protecting communities like Storrie. “They planned for it,” he explained. “It’s inundated with resources and they are really hitting it hard. They want to keep everything on one side of the railroad tracks that are down there. Rest assured for the citizens of Storrie that the resources are out there and the incident commanders have done a great job in preparing for this juncture in the fire.”
