A massive fire broke out at a highrise in Dombivili city in the Indian state of Maharashtra on Saturday (Jan 13). According to a report by the news agency ANI, four fire tenders were rushed to the spot. No deaths have been reported yet and all residents were evacuated safely.
Fire broke out in an under-construction building in Dollars Colony, Bengaluru. Five workers escaped unhurt. The fire was caused by a possible short circuit.
The building has refuge areas on the eighth, 15th and 22nd floors, but the number of residents in the building is large and some people have kept household goods in the refuge area which hindered movement, said another resident.
