Times Telegram The Little Falls Common Council is looking to change the city treasurer’s position from an elected post to an appointed one.  The police, chief, the fire chief and the assessor are all appointed,” Mayor Mark Blask pointed out when asked the reason for the proposed change. “For the treasurer to be an elected position doesn’t make sense. We have a $6 million budget; that’s a huge responsibility.”  The Common Council will have to pass a local law amending the city charter in order for the change to take effect, the mayor said. The position was scheduled to be on the ballot for the November election.
