Cambridge firefighter graduates from MA Firefighting Academy Recruit Training Program

The Cambridge Fire Department shared the following information Jan. 8.
Cambridge Fire Chief Gerry Mahoney and City Manager Louis DePasquale announced the graduation of Firefighter on Probation Patrick J. Morrissey from the Massachusetts Firefighting Academy Recruit Training Program in Stow, Massachusetts.
FFOP Patrick Morrissey is nationally certified as Firefighter I/II and HazMat Operational Level First Responder. He will be assigned to Ladder Company No. 3 in Lafayette Square to fill a current vacancy in the “Class 1” Cambridge Fire Department.
“This rigorous 10-week professional training program at the MA Department of Fire Services Stow campus provides our newest firefighters with the basic skills to perform their jobs effectively and safely” said State Fire Marshal Peter Ostroskey.
