GATLINBURG â The Gatlinburg Fire Department and Gatlinburg Firefighters Association is planning for its annual Kids Camp, which will be held Aug. 9 through Aug. 13 and is open to children ages 6 through 11.
Registration for the camp is currently full, but a waiting list is available for interested campers. For information about the camp or how to join the waiting list, please call the Gatlinburg Fire Department at 865-436-5112.
The annual Kids Camp is an action-packed week that includes five days of experiencing and learning about the job of a firefighter. During the week, campers will experience lessons and activities on what the experience of being a firefighter is and fire safety, but also have classes on first aid, water safety, search and rescue and other operations.
