Uniindia: Agartala, Nov 28 (UNI) Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Monday inaugurated the Tripura Film and Television Institute (TFTI) at Nazrul Kalakshetra complex in the city at the aegis of Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute (SRFTI) of Kolkata.
JAMMU: Security forces arrested a terrorist and seized arms and ammunition during a joint cordon-and-search operation in Bikheryan area in Jammu’s Doda district on Friday.
IGP (Jammu Zone) Mukesh Singh said, “The terrorist, Firdous Ahmed, was apprehended from his residence with three Chinese pistols, two magazines, 15 rounds and a silencer.”
The anti-terror operation was jointly carried out by the Army, J&K Police, Sashastra Seema Bal and CRPF based on an intelligence input, the IGP added.

Srinagar: At least seven terrorist associates linked with terror outfit Hizb-ul-Mujahideen were nabbed by security forces in Jammu and Kashmir s Shopian district on Saturday. Incriminating material was seized from their possession by the forces.
Issuing a press statement, Jammu and Kashmir Police said, Shopian Police have arrested seven terrorist associates linked with proscribed terrorist outfit Hizb-ul-Mujahideen. Incriminating materials recovered from their possession. A case has been registered. Further investigation is going on, the Jammu and Kashmir Police added.

Doda (Jammu and Kashmir) [India], March 13 (ANI): The Jammu and Kashmir Police, in a joint Cordon-and-Search-Operation, has arrested one over-ground worker (OGW) of a militant outfit from the Bikhiryan area of Doda. The OGW has been identified as Firdous Ahmed. The police have recovered three Chinese pistols, 15 Chinese rounds, five magazines, and a silencer from Ahmed s house, Superintendent of Police (Operations) of Doda Raj Kumar said on Saturday. During interrogation, it was found that arrested person was active in militancy since last seven months, Kumar said.
Ahmed is perusing a post-graduation in journalism from Kashmir University.
