Nicolai von Dellingshausen matched the lowest round of his professional career to card a 62 and open up a three shot lead heading into the weekend at the 2021 Tenerife Open.
The German does not have full playing privileges on the European Tour but he looked very much at home at Golf Costa Adeje as he moved to 16 under to lead the way from home favourite Pep Angles.
A consistent performer on the European Challenge Tour over the last four seasons, Von Dellingshausen is playing just his 16th European Tour event this week and going in search of a first top ten.

Just another great day in the office. I played well tee to green, had a couple of good putts but just stiffed it a lot more than I did yesterday with crucial up and downs. Just a great day, going out in the morning, said Von Dellingshausen.

Paul Casey claimed a milestone 15th European Tour title as a closing 70 handed him a four shot victory at the 2021 Omega Dubai Desert Classic.
The Englishman has an excellent record in the United Arab Emirates with victories in Abu Dhabi in 2007 and 2009 and he made it a desert hat-trick as he finished 17 under at Emirates Golf Club, four ahead of South Africa s Brandon Stone, with Scot Robert MacIntyre at 12 under.
Casey entered the day with a one shot lead and while he turned in level par 35, that was enough for a three shot advantage which had been extended to five with five to play.

(Reuters) - England s Paul Casey carded an eight-under-par 64 in the third round of the Dubai Desert Classic on Saturday and tied the lowest round of the week to go 15-under overall and take a one-shot lead heading into the final round.
Casey recorded six birdies and capped off his day with an eagle on the par-five 18th in an error-free round to jump up five places to lead Scotland s Robert MacIntyre. South African Brandon Stone is third, a shot further behind. To finish off with an eagle was pretty cool, Casey said. You can never say (the round was) flawless. It was very controlled, challenging at the same time with a little bit of wind here and there.
