Pharma companies to produce 11.4bn COVID-19 vaccine doses by year-end, says Goldman Sachs
Pfizer, AstraZeneca and Moderna will pump out a big chunk of the total
Pharma companies worldwide are estimated to produce 11.4bn COVID-19 vaccine doses by year-end, according to Goldman Sachs.
The forecast means that three-quarters of the population will get two doses as required, although analysts reckon the global year-end vaccination rate is likely to be lower than that.
This will be due to the time lag between production and vaccinations, global distribution challenges, potentially booster shots in rich countries, and limited vaccine demand in some countries.

The MSCI Australia Micro Cap Index is designed to measure the performance of the micro cap segment of the Australian equity market. The company will be added the Micro Cap Australian Index from 27 May 2021 as part of a quarterly rebalance.
Core Lithium Ltd (ASX:CXO) (OTCMKTS:CXOXF) announced that the company has been added to the Morgan Stanley Capital International (MSCI) Micro Cap Australia Index with effect from 27 May 2021.
The MSCI Australia Micro Cap Index is designed to measure the performance of the micro-cap segment of the Australian equity market.
