Three possible versions of a budget were presented Tuesday to the Pittsylvania County School Board, based upon those now before the General Assembly and representing potential state funding for the
Pittsylvania Career and Technical Center (PCTC) students will soon have the opportunity to attend classes four days per week, as the Pittsylvania County School Board voted to allow for the school to operate under âPhase IIâ of the schoolâs re-entry plan.
In its current phase, the plan requires that all students attend a minimum of two days per week, and students with transportation have the option to attend four days per week. Phase II would require four days of instruction per week for PCTC students.Â
In a presentation to the school board, PCTC Principal Jessica Dalton and Director of Career and Technical Education Angela Rigney stressed the current deficits in lab hours and instructional outcomes, as students do have clinical or other hours they must meet in order to meet Virginia Department of Education competencies or Danville Community College competencies, of which there have not been waivers for.
