After just swearing in two new officers Friday, the Yankton Police Department received another bit of good news on the recruitment front at Monday’s City Commission meeting.
At its meeting Monday, the Yankton City Commission voted to formalize the city’s relationship with Connecting Cultures of Yankton by approving a contract with that group for translation services.

While the official sales tax report for April isn’t in yet, the City of Yankton is getting a good indication of the direction it will go.

The city collected over eight hundred twenty thousand dollars in sales taxes in April of last year.
Viereck says he anticipates that trend to continue….
