Covid-19: Selangor, KL and Johor have the most sporadic cases

PETALING JAYA: Selangor, Kuala Lumpur and Johor have the highest number of sporadic Covid-19 cases – those where the source of infection is not known, says Datuk Seri Dr Adham Baba. The Health Minister also said that as of Sunday (April 25), sporadic cases accounted for about 60% of the total recorded since Jan 1. The highest number of sporadic cases are in Selangor (65,215), KL (19,834) and Johor (17,974), he told a press conference on Monday (April 26). He also said the number of clusters in educational institutions had in`creased by 83% from 12 clusters in epidemiological week 15 (April 11 to 17) to 22 in week 16 (April 18 to 24). Meanwhile, deputy Health director-general (research and technical support) Dr Hishamshah Mohd Ibrahim said the ministry had not yet detected the double-mutant variant originating from India.
