Aid agencies say the situation is desperate. Good evening. Senior ministers have rejected claims by their former cabinet colleague, amber rudd that securing a new brexit deal is no longer the governments main objective. Amber rudd, who resigned last night as work and pensions secretary, said up to 90 of the governments time is now spent preparing for a no dael departure at the end of october.
