The English and Filipino versions of the manga entitled, "Jose Rizal, The Filipino Hero's Life Illustrated," which bear the signatures of the writer Takahiro Matsui and artist Ryo Konno, were officially turned over to the Sentro Rizal Library of the Embassy last December 27. SAN DIEGO (KGTV) In the US Navy s long history, there has only been one Asian American sailor to have ever received the Medal of Honor. More than 100 years later, there is a national campaign to honor Telesforo Trinidad s legacy.
The family room in Daniel Gruta s Mira Mesa home is like a museum. Almost every inch of his wall is covered by many displays of his US Navy achievements and memorabilia. The retired Captain spent many years at sea. He said he was motivated to join, thanks to those who came before him.
