Celebrating Forgotten Filipino Leaders: The Delano Manongs Film Screening and Discussion Join in for an incredible event at the Carver Branch Library in San Antonio, a special screening of documentary short films about the Delano Manongs, the Filipino farm workers and labor organizers who started the Delano Grape Strike of 1965, fought alongside more widely known Cesar Chavez and co-founded the United Farm Workers union. The screening will be followed by a lively discussion with filmmaker Emilio J. Virata Jr. This Filipino American History Month event is by Filipino American National Historical Society - San Antonio, in partnership with AAPIs for Justice.
