Fijian All Black prop forward George Bower gets his first start named in the starting XV against the Flying Fijians this weekend.
The 29-year-old Levuka lad Bower reached a new last week as the Crusaders prop came on as a second half replacement to make his full All Blacks debut against Tonga, his first game since being called into the squad last year.
“After getting called in last year at the end-of-year tour, they got me to put on a bit of weight,” Bower said.
“I’m 29 now so I guess I have aged a bit before getting into footy.”
