The handing over ceremony was held in the Fiji Red Cross Society with the participation of representatives of the Chinese enterprises in the island nation. Song Tianpeng, representative of the China Chamber of Commerce in Fiji, said that the donation came from 17 Chinese enterprises operating in Fiji and the donation shows the Chinese enterprises sympathy and support for the Fijians affected in the recent tropical cyclone Yasa.
