to take these things seriously. this rhetoric seriously. this hostility that s been created towards our community seriously. my heart is broken for yet another community that s had to suffer the consequences of hate violence. the club praised the quick reaction of two of its customers. saying those heroes helped subdue the gunman. you ve been in this situation before what do you do when you are in a situation like this. how does one react. how do you react? it s so hard to know until you are in that situation because so much of what you feel is your emotions. it s your adrenaline. it s in the moment fighter fire responds. for me, i remember being huddled against a bathroom wall. a listening to the gunfire just a few feet away. there was a dozen people that are government before whose faces and probably wouldn t recognize. i remember the girl behind me so terrified.
