OCAF celebrates poetry with exhibit, free workshops
The Oconee Cultural Arts Foundation in Watkinsville is offering two free online poetry writing workshops during the month of February.
Also on exhibit is a showing of art paired with poetry on display in OCAF’s Main Gallery and online.
“Artists have been influenced by poets for centuries,” according to a release from OCAF.
Each work of art on display from paintings, photos, pottery and jewelry were created in a response to a poem.
Those providing the poetry were Pat Adams (Fifty Years Ago), Rebecca Baggett (Koi Tangled in Leaves), Carl Britton (The Power of a Smile), Clela Reed (Fire Eater) and Dana Wildsmith (Password).
