Reporter North Las Vegas firefighters responded to a call of a fire at the church after midnight. The church is located on fifth and lake mead. They say the arsonist threw a molotov cocktail. Firefighters were able to cast this parishioner walked up to find this damage. Its very sad. Its terrible. Its terrible. Reporter North Las Vegas police have not said if this is a hate crime. Start the blaze. We are live at church on fifth and lake mead. Reporter Church Members cant believe that someone tried to set their church on fire. Now repair crews are busy fixing the damage. Everyone say its is important that the arsonist get caught before he or she strikes again. An arsonist left after mid night at african methodist church. Cocktail at church near fifth and lake mead. The fire started at the front door. It could have been worse thank god for the passerby who saw the flames and called the fire department. Fire department put out flames. Reporter North Las Vegas police say the white ford 250 stolen has been recovered and returned to its owner. Here is an image of that stolen truck that was taken nearby the North Las Vegas Police Department. Police say 25yearold alonso perez used the truck as a he was arrested on friday in connection to 31yearold muhammad robinsons murder. Last night, robinson was shot outside of a North Las Vegas mcdonalds. Families of the victim say he was shot and killed because he did not hold the door for a woman.
