ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) In an effort to revive the arts and entertainment industry, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced new capacity guidelines for event, arts and entertainment venues, which have been shut down for almost a year now.
News10NBC took a look at the numbers, and found out if this is enough to reopen. Cuomo says theaters can open at 33% capacity starting on April 2.
The new state guidelines for the arts and entertainment industry are being met with lots of enthusiasm. Rochester Broadway Theatre League Board Chair and CEO Arnie Rothschild says the problem is 33% capacity is just not enough for his theater, which has 2,464 seats.
