CSPAN3 Politics And Public Policy Today April 4, 2016

In cross examination with john mann i think it was with john mann, that you make no comment on the directive that led to this dispute or this extraordinary exchange on tea bags, but actually, when you look at the speech you made, you described the directive as ludicrous, quite the opposite of sorry, what the impression that you gave in response to that question. And you said i mean, we can carry on with so many of these. Well, go on. Youve said that between half and twothirds of everything that goes through parliament is being produced by brussels. But actually, the facts are that the best sources suggest between 50 and 59 is either produced or at least influenced, is the word you used, influenced by the eu. In other words, this is not produced by brussels, between half and twothirds. Its between 15 and 59 . And its inferenced in some way, and this includes the decisions which relate often to individual firms, which constitutes about a third of the total number in itself. So, i come ba

CSPAN2 Key Capitol Hill Hearings December 29, 2015

We have not seen that and they are facing lawsuits as we speak. They are trying, from what i understand, in recent months to make some changes inside the system, but its very difficult. Im in the prison system in america is what it is, grandpa to be his, rapid human rights abuse and we as a society even if we dont believe it, we accept the idea at least thats the moment you cross the threshold of a jail or prison you are or Constitutional Rights are suspended, which is particularly ironic in jail settings where you are in many cases held over for trial, innocent until proven guilty. But, they are violating your rights on a daily basis and im talking about brutal bees, Sexual Assault, medical deprivation, which can be deadly if you medication and youre incarcerated and that medication is denied to you that is a problem. In l. A. And have looked at various integration programs. Valerie i am learning a great deal. I am learning about the disparities in our system and how much in need of reform our criminal system is. I am also learning about the incredible resilience of the human spirit and people who have the deck stacked against them from the day they are born who are fighting back and try to get their lives back on track. I am so deeply moved by the girls in this detention center, many of whom have been abused by their parents from the time they were Young Children and cast doubt on the street and got into the inevitable trouble and telling me what their hopes and dreams are.
