A recent call out for help was met with enthusiasm by some Mitchell and area sewing “experts”, and The Mitchell Connection was born.
Early last month, Janet Clarke of the Huron Fidget Makers sent out a mass email asking for those who could sew to assist in finishing an order of fidget aprons for dementia patients in long-term care facilities across both counties.

Lo and behold, Clarke’s email made its way to Dianne Josling’s inbox, and she passed it on to Patti Drummond, and over the next few weeks, a few other women from Mitchell and area joined them in making the aprons and helping to fulfill their order.
