Eskom has suspended its acting head of security, Karen Pillay, while it investigates her role in the awarding of R500 million emergency security contract to Fidelity Services.
The suspension is related to a R500 million emergency security contract awarded to Fidelity Services to investigate coal theft last year, News24 understands.
Eskom has confirmed that its head of security, Adv Karen Pillay has been placed on precautionary suspension to allow space for investigation on allegations levelled against her to continue unhindered.
