Mention the name Emmanuel Jambo and photography always comes to mind. His amazing skills behind the camera have seen him globe trot, photographing events, mingling with world leaders and interacting with different cultures.
Speaking to
SDE, Jambo spoke of the intrigues that have covered his illustrious career; the good and the ugly, the journey from the streets of Khartoum to the motor city of Chicago to documenting history around the world.
You have quite a journey on how you took up photography. For someone who doesn’t know you, tell us something about yourself
I was born in Khartoum, my family later moved to Egypt then the United States. In Sudan, growing up was just basically school and sports. I played a lot of sports when I was a kid.
