Gilas Pilipinas 3x3 will face the best teams in the world in an attempt to make the Tokyo Games through the FIBA 3x3 Olympic Qualifying Tournament in Graz, Austria starting on Wednesday, May 26.
Ranked No. 20 in the world, the Philippines is set for an uphill climb as it got bunched with No. 3 Slovenia, No. 10 France, No. 26 Qatar, and No. 33 Dominican Republic in Group C.
The top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout playoffs, where the finalists and third-placer will qualify for the Olympics.

The Filipino club made the tough decision to pull out from the 2021 Fiba 3x3 World Tour Lipik Challenger, failing to secure the players visas on time.
With no Croatian embassy in the Philippines, the players visa had to be applied thorugh the Jakarta embassy. Team management submitted the requirements on May but on Thursday have yet to receive the visas.
