The Organised Labour has relaxed the indefinite nationwide strike declared on Monday, for one-week, to allow continuation of negotiations The Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC) and the Trade Union Congress (TUC) made this known in a communique issued at the end of a joint National Executive Council meeting on Tuesday in Abuja.
The NLC and TUC have said that if the Bola Tinubu government fail to "do something good" concerning adding to the N60,000 minimum wage, it will reject it.
Organised Labour may settle for N100,000 minimum wage as the Tripartite Committee on National Minimum Wage commences daily meetings for five days to reach a consensus.
Festus Osifo, president of the Trade Union Congress (TUC), says organised labour will not accept unreasonable additions to the N60,000 minimum wage offer of the federal government.
