Salute to America celebration preparation is in full swing following last years scaled down version

JEFFERSON CITY, Mo. (KMIZ) Salute to America event organizers are making additions to the celebration to get the weekend festivities back to normal after the smaller crowds that were drawn in last year. Despite not having carnival rides this year, organizers are making it possible to have carnival games and an inflatable park. The company hired to run the carnival rides had to back out due to staffing shortages. David Thompson, Festival Vice Chair, said the event addition of a Freedom Fun Run will be added Saturday and a weekend-long ax-throwing competition to continue to attract people to the downtown events.

Romsey Festival 2021: what s happening and where

Romsey Festival is returning for 2021 ROMSEY residents can still look forward to the town s festival this year. The 2021 Romsey Festival will open with a flag raising ceremony at the Abbey on Friday July 2, with a full programme of events running from the Saturday. Normally held every three years, this is the twelfth to be organised by an all-volunteer team of local residents. Due to UK Government extension of Covid regulations there needed to be some changes to our extensive programme. Concerts and free exhibitions in Romsey Abbey are not affected as access is organised on basis of current regulations, using half the buildings capacity to ensure appropriate distancing between different households attending concerts.
