Ferrari Australia has recalled 140 examples of its 812 Superfast from model years 2017 to 2020 over an issue that could see the rear window detach from the rest of the car.
The recall notice, lodged with the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC), says incorrect bonding of the rear window may lead to decreased adhesion of the rear window to the rear hood .
According to Ferrari, the risk is that the rear window glass may fully detach from the vehicle and become airborne or fall onto the road, potentially causing serious injury or death.
The recalled 812 Superfast cars were sold between 27 July 2017 and 25 June 2020.
