Argentina sets the production cost of apples and pears at $ 0.26 per kilo
The Fruit Contracting Board determined that the production cost for pears and apples for the 2020/2021 fruit season is $ 0.26 per kilo.
In a meeting on Friday, February 5, the Board presented the new production costs and the different variables that were taken into account to determine them.
The meeting was attended by the president of the Federation of Fruit Producers of Rio Negro and Neuquen, Sebastian Hernandez; the Secretary of Fruit Growing, Facundo Fernandez; the Undersecretary of Fruit Growing Pablo De Azevedo; the legal advisor, Fernando Segura; provincial legislators Ignacio Casamiquela, Elbi Cides, and Marcela Avila; and Adalberto Santagni from the Alto Valley National Institute of Agricultural Technology (INTA).
