Valencia Basket comes off one of its most exciting wins of the season in which it defeated CSKA Moscow 105-103 in double overtime. It was the team s fifth win by less than 5 points in the Turkish Airlines EuroLeague this season. Shooting guard Klemen Prepelic was at the center of it, coming off the bench to make the difference. He scored 22 points with a career-high 7 rebounds, 6 assists and 6 fouls drawn, amassing a PIR of 23 in over 32 minutes of the floor, another personal best.
Prepelic has stepped up when his team has needed him. Valencia was without three perimeter players - Fernando San Emeterio, Joan Sastre and Guillem Vives, but Prepelic was there to provide the fireworks. Over his last three games, Prepelic has averaged 20.0 points on 12-of-27 three-point shooting (44.4%) and 20-of-24 on free throws (83.3%), while drawing 6.3 fouls per night and reaching a PIR of at least 20 in all three gam
Inspired Datome leads Milan past Valencia
AX Armani Exchange Milan blasted past Valencia Basket with a convincing 95-80 to solidify its position in the playoffs places and claim the head to head advantage between the teams. The home side raced into a 54-36 half-time lead behind outstanding long-range shooting, and maintained that advantage throughout the third quarter. Valencia briefly pulled the deficit back to single digits in the final period, but Milan raced clear again to ease home. Luigi Datome rolled back the years to score a joint career-high 27 points on 6-of-8 three-point shooting. Malcolm Delaney added 17 points on 4-of-6 from beyond the arc, while Kevin Punter scored 14 and Zach LeDay had 13. Derrick Williams paced Valencia with 17 points and 5 steals, with Nikola Kalinic netting 15 and Klemen Prepelic scoring 12. Milan improves to 11-7, and Valencia is now 10-9.

Valencia Basket left Greece with a big smile on Wednesday after defeating Olympiacos Piraeus 85-96. One of the reasons was that it finally snapped a nine-game losing streak against the Reds, also because it was just the second time ever that Valencia claimed a victory at Peace and Friendship Stadium. The first and only such previous occasion took place 17 year ago, on November 2003, when Valencia defeated Olympiacos 69-77 behind 16 points from Dimos Dikoudis.
But, besides that historical fact, visitors satisfaction came from deeper, as they looked quite proud about the way they earned the win.
