Man killed within hours of child s mother being gunned down in May Pen

A motive is yet to be identified in the mysterious murders of a woman and her child s father in two separate incidents in Effortville, May Pen, Clarendon within less than a 12-hour span on the weekend. The deceased have been identified as 35-year-old Camille Ellis of Effortville, and Fernando Morris of Gregory Park, Portmore in St Catherine. According to police reports, the events started unfolding on Saturday at about 9:20 pm, when gunmen kicked off the door to Ellis house and shot her several times. She was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Further reports are that about 9 am on Sunday Morris, the father of one of Ellis children, went to Effortville to collect his child and was pounced upon by gunmen who allegedly shot and killed him.

No motive yet for Clarendon double murder Sunday, April 25, 2021 CLARENDON, Jamaica Detectives in Clarendon are still trying to establish a motive for the murder of a woman and her child s father in the Effortville community between Saturday night and Sunday morning. The deceased have been identified as 35-year-old Camille Ellis of Effortville and Fernando Morris, a resident of a Gregory Park address in Portmore, St Catherine.  Reports are that about 9:20 pm Saturday, Ellis was at home when his door was kicked in, and was shot several times.  She was pronounced dead at hospital.  At 9:00 am, Morris, who is one of her children s fathers, was also shot and killed when he went to pick up his child at the house.
