Searchlight Pictures has released the full trailer for director Chloe Zhao’s forthcoming drama film Nomadland, featuring Oscar-winning actress Frances McDormand as her character navigates the life of being a nomad along with the guidance of newfound friends, who are portrayed by real-life nomads. The film will be having its theatrical release on February 19, 2021. Check out the video in the player below along with the new poster! Based on Jessica Bruder’s 2017 non-fiction book of the same name, the story centers on Fern (McDormand), a woman who, after the economic collapse of a company town in rural Nevada, packs her van and sets off on the road exploring a life outside of conventional society as a modern-day nomad. The third feature film from director Chloé Zhao, the film features real nomads Linda May, Swankie and Bob Wells as Fern’s mentors and comrades in her exploration through the vast landscape of the American West.
