Estonia's Fermi Energia has said it will accept tenders from three small modular reactor developers: GE Hitachi, NuScale and Rolls-Royce. The company said bids with comprehensive technical documentation needed to estimate the construction cost are expected by December, and the technology selection will be made in February 2023.
Eestis tuumajaama arendav Fermi Energia saatis välja pakkumiskutsed kolmele energiafirmale uue põlvkonna väikese moodulreaktori ehitamiseks. Sõelale jäid GE Hitachi, Nuscale ja Rolls-Royce, kellest valitu võiks tuumajaama püsti saada 2032. aastaks.
GE Hitachi, Nuscale, or Rolls-Royce could construct a small modular reactor nuclear power station in Estonia in the coming years. The plant's backers hope it will come online in 2032 but do not have planning permission yet.
