A couple of weeks ago, something very strange happened in my county. In Newbridge Silverware’s Museum of Style Icons, a display of Kurt Cobain’s personal items rolled into town for three days. In among the artefacts were his blue Fender Mustang (left-handed, of course), a pack of the Nirvana frontman’s American Spirit cigarettes, handwritten letters, a cardigan and jeans that were long familiar to me from the pages of NME or Rolling Stone. One lunch break, I decided to hop out to Newbridge and see these hallowed items for myself; enjoy a brief, nostalgic sojourn back in time.
