Nigerians on X, previously known as Twitter have berated the engagement of controversial singer and songwriter, Azeez Adeshina Fashola, popularly known as Naira Marley as an ambassador to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to campaign against drug abuse in the country. SaharaReproters earlier reported that the spokesperson for the NDLEA, Femi Babafemi in a statement on Thursday announced the agency's partnership with Naira Marley to campaign against usage and possession of illegal substances and hard drugs.
Nigerian controversial singer and songwriter, Azeez Adeshina Fashola, known as Naira Marley has become an ambassador to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) to campaign against drug abuse in the country. This was made known by the spokesperson for the NDLEA, Femi Babafemi in a statement on Thursday. He said that Naira Marley was well received by the NDLEA Chairman/Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Brig. Gen. Mohamed Buba Marwa (retd.) when the artiste paid a visit to the National Headquarters of the agency.
Operatives of the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) have intercepted some illicit substances concealed in a car tyre along Abuja-Kaduna highway. NDLEA’s Director of Media and Advocacy, Femi Babafemi, who made this known on his verified Twitter handle, posted a video of the operation on Tuesday. He asserted that another extreme method deployed by a drug trafficker to conceal illicit drugs had been uncovered. In the video, some of the operatives were seen cutting into a tyre of a car and exposed some drugs seen in capsule format.
