having some form of autism may have prevented him in being able to integrate, but we know that most people with autism, they have the support there. it sounds like his parents supported him, so, again, i would factor that out. i think the real issue here, this is a person who felt belittled, he felt like nothing, he blamed society for it. so now he feels that omnipotence to go out and just massacre people. but also, at the same time, knowing he would not make it back, either suicide by cop or suicide by his own hand. and i want to switch gears here or talk very briefly about both not just the victims and their families, but, obviously, this is a very small college town. i ve actually been there myself. it has the we know this is having an impact on the community. talking about that, the anger, the various feelings that people are having. ucsb is going to be offering counseling services. what are some things that folks should be looking out for in terms of their own need to access
