A sentencing hearing was held Tuesday in Fourth Judicial District Court in Sheridan for 31-year-old Donald Brower. District Court Judge John Fenn accepted the terms of the plea agreement that was reached with the State and sentenced Brower to 3 to 5 years in prison for the charge of Conspiracy to Deliver a Controlled Substance to a Minor- Marijuana.
The sentence is suspended in lieu of three years of supervised probation. A charge of Possession With Intent to Deliver a Controlled Substance to a Juvenile was dismissed as part of the plea deal. Judge Fenn also ordered Brower to pay $375 in various court costs and $500 in attorney fees. The crimes occurred between October 3rd and 4th of 2020. Two co-defendants were also charged in the case, Meagan Crone and Michael Schutt.

Trial Date Set for Sheridan Man Charged With Three Counts of Sexual Abuse of a Minor
Cody Knode pleaded “not guilty” to three counts of Third Degree Sexual Abuse of a Minor at an arraignment hearing in District Court Thursday. The alleged crimes occurred between November 1, 2020, and January 4 of this year. District Court Judge John Fenn scheduled a three-day jury trial to begin on Monday, November 29, and set the pretrial conference for November 2 at 9 am.
Knode was sentenced last month to 1 ½ to 2 years in prison for the charge of Felony Taking a Controlled Substance Into Jail for attempting to take methamphetamine into the Sheridan County Detention Center on January 11. Knode was sent to jail because he had his probation revoked for several failed drug tests through Sheridan County Probation and Parole.
