Updated: 11:33 AM EDT Jun 9, 2021 WXII12.com Web Staff North Carolina authorities took a man into custody who allegedly broke into several occupied homes, assaulted residents and stole items, all while not wearing any clothes.Police said the homes were broken into on Sunday in West Asheville.Officers originally said they found a person matching the description of the man but he ran away.On Tuesday, police said, thanks to a tip on the TIP2ADP app, detectives identified the naked prowler as James Pickard.In each of these cases, residents were assaulted and had items stolen from their homes, police said.
