THIS year s Llangollen Fell Race has been moved to August in the hope that Coronavirus restrictions will allow it to go ahead by then. Fell running, also known as hill running, is the sport of running and racing on off-road routes that have a difficult gradient. The inaugural event in 2019 saw 119 people travail the 17-mile route and it was also able to go ahead last year just before the worst of the Coronavirus pandemic struck. Llangollen Fell Race organisers have moved this year s event to Sunday, August 22. A statement read: It won’t come as a surprise that the event will be unable to happen in April due to the restrictions in place and we’ve made the decision to move the date of the race to Sunday August 22.
