Macie Edkins-Wherry has been spreading Christmas cheer on the Isle of Wight. A TEENAGER has been spreading the joy of Christmas to those particularly isolated this year. Macie Edkins-Wherry has been writing cards and making festive gifts for elderly people in care homes, and people in the community and in hospital who have not got any family and won’t hear from anyone or receive a gift over Christmas. Macie, 14, of Carisbrooke College, came up with the idea in early November as she wanted to help people during what has been such a tough year.
