A coating to an inch possible in the metro area and up to 2 to 3 inches farther north and west. Lets get over to meteorologist doug kammerer. It is cold out there. Were talking wind chills in the Single Digits. They were really gusting and, boy, they brought down the temperatures quickly. Look at the wind in gaithersburg. Up to 56 Miles Per Hour. The highest i saw in this area. Wintergreen, the ski resort 65 Miles Per Hour there. But closer to home annandale 54 Miles Per Hour. So we did see some damage out there. We also saw power out ajs throughout the evening. Now starting to see those a little bit better. Ha
