more than 20% have voted in zero or one of the last four elections, meaning they re new trump voters or they ve never voted before in a presidential election. we saw the same thing at our new hampshire rally, second rally to be held in a blue state this year. one more in el paso, so not too far from new mexico, 50%homocra voted in zero or one of the last four elections. this president has the ability to bring forward a new coalition of voters that past republican presidents have not been able to do. harris: before we move on, because i do have a question about any head wind you may be facing. but corey lewandowski up on the hill yesterday, he had an opening statement defending the president against collusion and so forth. the president tweeted out a thank you to corey lewandowski. he could run in new hampshire. the president lifting his name sake up. i say name sake because i don t know if everybody knows who
harris: why does alexandria ocasio-cortez, congresswoman, see it so differently? here s what she said. the increase is the case for impeachment. what is she looking at through her prism that is so different than what everybody else is seeing at this point in the other side of the aisle? she s looking at a mirror that tells her every day that what she says is actually important and fact. she is surrounded by an echo chamber. the fact of the matter is yesterday certainly didn t get people who are hard-core supporters of impeachment changit shrewdly certainly didt anyone is a hard-core point of this. what happened on the middle? people are not going to be moved by what they saw yesterday. it s just a talking points. harris: before i let you go, we don t know there s a possibility that corey lewandowski may run in the state of new hampshire. what calculation do you think the democrats are making, and did this help lewandowski yesterday? it probably didn t help lewandowski. i thin
he was following the white house request. watch. we were there with no preconceived decision to not answer questions. the white house asked for us to preserve the privilege of private conversations with the president. let s just be clear, it s not my privilege to preserve. at the white house directed, i agreed to that. that s what the white house asked for. harris: to congressional correspondent mike emanuel is live on capitol hill, and boy, the spot where you are it was fire yesterday. harris, no question about it. it was a feisty visit when corey lewandowski was on the hot seat with the house judiciary committee, and the experience left chairman jerrold nadler frustrated. i ve been asked several times today whether the committee will hold you in contempt. that is certainly under consideration. there is a far more troubling level of contempt on display today, and that s president trump s role in your refusal to answer a question. lewandowski confirmed that
corey lewandowski is. if he runs in that state, is that part of the strategy to flip it? well, if he runs in that state, he will have someone at the top of the ballot, president trump, that makes that seat a whole lot easier, harris. you look at romney. romney lost new hampshire by 47,000 votes. president trump lost it by just 2700, just a hair in new hampshire. if corey is to run, corey would attest to this, having president trump there at the top, that is a huge, huge driver for success down the ballot in that state. harris: real quickly, the rust belt and that scenario where hillary clinton didn t visit enough. that was part of the criticism, even among those in her own party, as reasons she had for losing. the president, when you look at michigan and other areas, what is he hoping to do there that hasn t already been tried? he s hoping to replicate the 2016 map, which we will. pennsylvania, wisconsin,
for men that probably is going to come back to haunt him, especially since he s doing television interviews, he s basically admitting that sometimes he fibs on television. and he doesn t owe anyone the truth in the media. i thought ultimately he had an interesting point, that they don t treat them fairly. but if you ve already said that on tv i feel like the attack ads are pretty clear what they are going to do. you are admitting to lying, you won t be honest on the campaign trail. new hampshire is a funky stage when it comes to some of these races, so who knows what ends up happening? to be fair, i think democrats would look forward to going up against corey lewandowski. harris: democrats, again, today. taking their rounds, talking about impeachment, impeachment, impeachment of kavanaugh, impeachment of the president. what is the fascination with impeachment, politically? i think they are trying to play into the base. the base is clearly anti-trump from the democratic party. the q
