Around 5 beth found herself on the other side of an emergency situation. We got woken up at about a quarter to five this morning with banging on the doors. And a guy from the apartment across from us yelling that there was a fire in the building that we needed to get out. Once it was considered safe firefighters allowed her and other back into their apartments to salvage whatever items they could. Her unit was one of six damage. Two apartments according to fire officials were destroyed in the blaze. The fire extended into a storage unit, closest for that apartment and it extended up into the roof the red cross is assisting and fire investigators are working to determine the cause. One fire fighter suffered a minor injury to his hand. Half of my way is taken out in my living room and ceilings are pulled down but your alive im alive. Thats all that the redcross says they have responded to 750 fires in wisconsin this year. In 70 of those, someone was killed. They remind people to be safe.
