In a breakfast meeting with Council Members today, mayor bowser said shes increasing the number of ambulances on d. C. Streets by 25 . Thats from 39 units to 49. Her deputy said theyre paying overtime to current staffers to maintain the highest level between 11 00 a. M. To 11 00 p. M. There has been a higher demand for ambulances and the city will use more of its reserve units.
