Boats that can get to sea are having to make a 72 hour round trip to Denmark to land their fish. An expensive trip in time and money and one which cuts off work to processors and other shoreside businesses back home. No skipper wants to do that but desperate times call for desperate measures. For our fishermen today, these are desperate times. Where are all the politicians who were so keen to be their friends on the campaign trail?
