Former Bush, Trump Officials Lobby Joe Biden to Bring More Refugees to U.S.
Former administration officials who worked for Presidents George W. Bush and Donald Trump are lobbying President Joe Biden to bring more refugees to the United States.
Late last year, then-President Trump set the fiscal year 2021 refugee resettlement cap at 15,000 refugees. This is only a numerical limit and not intended to be a goal for federal officials to reach.
Biden had kept the refugee cap at 15,000 for this fiscal year but following backlash from the refugee and migration lobby, as well as Democrats, his administration reversed course and now says they plan to increase the number of refugees admitted to the U.S.

The ARPA COBRA premium subsidy provisions require employers and insurers to provide “assistance eligible individuals” (AEIs) with a 100% subsidy for premiums otherwise owed for COBRA coverage during the period from April 1, 2021 to September 30, 2021 (Subsidy Period). An AEI is a qualified beneficiary whose COBRA qualifying event is an involuntary termination of employment or reduction of hours, who is not otherwise eligible for Medicare or other group health plan coverage,

The Biden administration is taking steps to roll back a Trump-era ban on abortion referrals from clinics getting public money.
Critics worry the reversal would mean taxpayer dollars going directly toward abortion procedures. Press secretary Jen Psaki made it clear that s against the law. Funding cannot be used from this for abortion, . but access to health care, access to health care in communities . that have been marginalized, underserved, adversely affected by persistent poverty, is always going to be something the president fights for.
If reversed, the rule change would free up hundreds of millions of dollars in Title X funding to more clinics serving low-income communities.
Oversight Committee Reviews Federal Funded PSDP Projects in Balochistan
The second meeting of the Oversight Committee on Federal Funded Public Sector Development Program (PSDP) Projects in Balochistan held under the chairmanship of Khalid Hussain Magsi, in Islamabad, on Friday.
