Mesothelioma Foundation 5K: Race your friends and support research by the Mesothelioma Foundation on July 4 with the city’s 12th annual Miles for Meso 5K run and walk. The run / walk starts at the Federal Way Community Center at 9 a.m. and runs $30 for entry; a kid’s dash starts half an hour earlier for free. Mesothelioma is a kind of cancer caused by exposure to asbestos.
