I am starting my 25th year of phenology record keeping, and a few years back, I learned how to start plotting trends of my data and noticed that a lot of them were doing some weird things that didn’t go along with the current warming we were being told about.

Beltrami County continues COVID vaccine efforts as active cases decline

BEMIDJI The number of active coronavirus cases in Beltrami County has decreased significantly since fall, while local health providers continue to administer vaccinations.
As of Friday, Beltrami County Public Health Director Cynthia Borgen said her office was tracking just 34 COVID-19 cases, down from 90 in January. Before 2021, the county had been tracking at least 250 cases in December and 115 in October. We re really happy to see that, Borgen said. Although, it has stopped declining there. So, we still need people to follow the COVID guidance and be aware of where they spend their time, as most people have not been vaccinated. I know everyone s tired of that message,

Arrest
WILLMAR A 46-year-old man was arrested for a Washington County warrant Tuesday afternoon after law enforcement responded to a disorderly conduct call on the 400 block of Sixth Street Southwest.
Six-Year-Old Girl Killed in Snowmobile Accident
FEDERAL DAM A six-year-old girl was killed in a snowmobile accident in northern Minnesota.
The Cass County Sheriff s Office says the incident happened on Monday just after 3:00 p.m. at a home near the town of Federal Dam.
A 35-year-old woman and the six-year-old girl were riding a Ski-Doo snowmobile in the yard when it struck a stump, launching the machine down an embankment to Leech Lake and into a tree.
CPR and lifesaving efforts were being performed on the scene to the girl, however, she was pronounced dead at the scene.The woman was treated on scene and transported by ambulance to a Bemidji hospital for further treatment.
